Beam-shaping module for laser cutting head

In parallel to the current developments for Laser Beam Welding and Additive Manufacturing, Cailabs has designed and manufactured a beam-shaping module compatible with a Precitec laser cutting head. It is aimed to improve the laser cutting process for the Custodian project.

The cutting head has been tested at the Insitut Maupertuis in Rennes (France) as you can see in the pictures below. The system has been delivered to Precitec’s facilities in Stuttgart (Germany) last week, as they will perform the laser cutting process tests. The results will be presented at the Virtual ICALEO Conference, taking place on 18-20 October 2021, which is considered to be the world’s premier platform for breakthrough laser solutions. Stay tuned!
